Life in Australia

If there is one thing Australian's are known for it's being laid back. An easy going nation with easy going people. No one likes to get to stressed out about anything, everyone is friendly and happy to help. Australian's are always up for a chat and a joke. Often mistaken for being to loud or over the top, Aussies may be loud but in good nature. Rarely nasty they are the way they are.

Australia is a diverse country, with most of us opting to live our lives close to the coast where you get beautiful sunny weather and afternoon sea breezes which is a must have for our hot summer days. In land you will find the land get's hotter being some what un bearable during the summer months.

Australians are a competitive bunch, big into sport and the out doors. AFL or Australian Football League is Australia's favourite sport. Our version of football which holds a firm place in many Australians hearts. Also popular is fishing, surfing, boating, swimming, rugby, cricket, skiing and snow boarding. Given the outdoorsy nature of Australia it seems fit for Australians to usually dress comfortably and casually usually saving getting dressed up for special events.

At the end of the day many of us like to kick back with a beer in one hand and cooking on the barbeque with the other. Family is very important to Australians and you will find there is no better place to catch up with the one's you love then around the 'barbie'
